This is a staw-man if I've ever seen one: "Green Energy Technology has been proclaimed as the panacea to the Climate doomsday". Literally no one in the modern climate movement thinks there is any panacea or silver bullet to climate change. We tried that with the Green Revolution and it just dug is into a deeper ditch.

What is required is nothing short of transformational in all aspects of our lives. Green Growthers are just neoliberals with a green hat on. That being said, we know fossil fuels aren't going to work. We *should* be investing in renewable energy sources and especially batteries that don't depend on rare-earth metals. All the while preparing for an "energy-descent" future. We don't need teslas as much as we need walkable cities.
